Literary Reviews:
CJ McAllister is torn between two loves.
The husband that could be lost to her forever and the man who has
ignited a passion inside her like she's never known. She
has an emotionally exhausting sister and parents that were killed
suddenly in an automobile accident. But through it all, she
remains positive and upbeat.
Tom Dellarico never thought he would find love
again after the death of his wife, but a sudden need to rent a car
while on a business trip brings him right to CJ. The two are a sweet
pair. Both have a deep sense of caring and
helpfulness.
Author Shar Mason has a knack for showing true
emotions of love and devotion. With so many modern day tales,
I love that this book is set in the eighties. The references to
dated clothing and jewelry were a great reminder of that era, but
the abrupt ending left me empty and wanting more. Is there a sequel?
I hope so because Tom and CJ are just too cute not to have a future
together.

Double Devotion is
double the love!, December 11, 2005
Double Devotion pulls at your
heart-strings without being sappy. This is a sincere love story with
characters that read like real people, not stereotyped romance novel
types. Especially loved the fresh quips between characters. The love
scenes were seductive and tasteful, not too raw and predictable as
with some romance novels. Life in the 80s and local geographical
areas were well researched and articulately detailed. Looking
forward to the sequel to bring us up-to-date on the characters in
the 2000s! More, Shar, more!

Much more then just a romance
novel, November 27, 2005
What I enjoyed most about this book
was Shar E.'s style. She let me see right into the minds of
her characters. Her writing is so detailed, her
description of Northern California, for example, made me feel
I had just been there. I read a lot, but this story is
fresh, different. This is not just a romance novel, it is so
much more. I am a guy, and I love her style of writing. I look
forward to more books from Shar E. Mason. Double
Devotion is good reading, and I highly recommend it.
